[edit] The purpose of this article

This article is about Manapa-Tarhunta, King of Seha River during the reign of Mursili II.

Manapa-Tarhunta had a long career prior to the accession of Kupanta-KAL / -Kurunta to the throne of Mira (when the Manapa-Tarhunta letter was written). He is mentioned in Mursili II's annals and also in several of that king's treaties with the western states, not just of his home Seha River Land but also Mira and even Hapalla and Wilusa.

I hadn't even heard of the Manapa-Tarhunta Letter when I added the events surrounding him into the ongoing "Arzawa Page" (not on Wiki). You could use this article as background to the letter, and it'd be good for that; but it's also background for Mursili II's annals and for any number of events relevant to Seha River (and to nearby lands like Lesbos and Troy) at this time.
