Manyara Region

Manyara is one of the 26 Regions of Tanzania. Babati serves as the Region's capital. It is bordered to the North by the Arusha Region, to the Northeast by the Kilimanjaro Region, to the East by the Tanga Region, to the South by the Dodoma Region, to the Southwest by the Singida Region and to the Northwest by the Shinyanga Region.
According to the 2002 Tanzania National Census, the population of the Manyara Region was 1,040,461.[1]
The Regional Commissioner of the Manyara Region is Anatoli A. Tarimo.[2]

The Manyara Region is administratively divided into 5 Districts: Mbulu, Babati, Hanang, Simanjiro and Kiteto.
