Manuela Gretkowska

Manuela Gretkowska (October 6, 1964 in Łódź) is a Polish writer, screenwriter and politician. She is the founder of the Polish Women's Party.

Gretkowska studied philosophy at the Jagiellonian University in Kraków. In 1988 she left Poland to live in Paris, where she wrote her first short stories. These short stories where published in the polish issues of Elle and Playboy. In 1996 Andrzej Żuławski realized her screenplay with the film Szamanka. In 2001 another screenplay was realized by Mariusz Trelinski with the film Egoisci. She also wrote screenplays for the Polish television series Miasteczko.
