Manuel Fernandes

Manuel Fernandes is a common Portuguese name, usually associated with one of two football players:
- Manuel Fernandes (Captain-Major), Captain-Major of the captaincy of Sofala (Mozambique) from March to December 1506
- Portuguese rower at the 1996 Summer Olympics
- Footballers
- Manuel José Tavares Fernandes, (b. 1951), prolific forward for Sporting Clube de Portugal during the late 70s and 80s, later becoming manager
- Manuel Henriques Tavares Fernandes, (b. 1986), midfielder currently playing for Everton.
