Mantech International Corporation was co-founded in 1968 by George J. Pedersen[1]. The company’s main purpose is to deliver upcoming information technology and technical services solutions to federal government customers. ManTech has grown to become one of the U.S. government’s leading providers of innovative technologies and solutions for national security programs supporting the United States Intelligence Community and Departments of Defense, State, Homeland Security and Justice; the Space Community; and other government agencies. They specialize in software development, enterprise security architecture, information assurance, intelligence operations support, network and critical infrastructure protection, information technology, communications integration and engineering support. Mantech has supported the telecommunications use in Operation Iraqi Freedom. The corporation’s base is located in Fairfax, Virginia [2]. ManTech has approximately 5,600 employees with operations in 40 countries. Revenues have increased from $431 million in 2001 to $1.137 billion in 2006 [3].

Mantech corporation received a contract to support the US Army in southwest Asia, Iraq and Afghanistan, as lead subcontractor to the VSE corporation. Some of the services ordered under the contract include: employed sustainment management; deployed logistics and repairs management; unique system training and curriculum support; and resource management, acquisition and administrative support for unique and specialized systems. The company’s specialization in communications and technology equipment is helpful to the ground and air soldiers of the US. Mantech’s workers are often placed inside the units of troops which they support. [4].
Mantech corporation received a contract in the Q4 2006 to support mine-clearing and other systems for the U.S. Army in Iraq, Afghanistan and Kuwait. Mantech will provide services as ordered under the task including deployed sustainment management; deploy logistics and repairs management; unique system training and curriculum support; and resource management and acquisition. These services will be provided in southwest Asia, mainly Iraq and Afghanistan. [5]
