Manor High School is a community school for boys and girls, aged 10 to 14 years (years 6 to 9). The current headmaster is Mrs. Sheila Major, who joined the school at the beginning of the 2004/05 academic year. The deputy head is Ms. Jane Wightman.

The school serves a suburban area to the south of the City of Leicester. The school is in the eastern edge of Oadby, adjacent to open countryside.
The school is the county's highest performer and is named within the top 100 schools nationwide for the improvements their pupils make.[citation needed] It is now a specialist technology school, this increases the amount of funding it receives. Underneath the logo is the phrase Excellere Contende.
