Mannequin (1937) is an MGM film, starring Joan Crawford, Spencer Tracy, and Alan Curtis. In the film. Crawford plays Jessie, a young, working class, woman who seeks to improve her life by marrying her beau, only to have him be no better than what she left behind. Jessie meets a self-made millionaire with whom she falls in love with despite his financial problems. Mary Philips plays Miss Beryl Lee.
The film premiered on December 14, 1937 in Westwood, California. It had a limited release on January 20, 1938 in New York City, followed by a wide American release on January 21, 1938.
