Mankachar is a census town in Dhubri district in the Indian state of Assam.

As of 2001 India census[1], Mankachar had a population of 28,771. Males constitute 51% of the population and females 49%. Mankachar has an average literacy rate of 53%, lower than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 58%, and female literacy is 47%. In Mankachar, 19% of the population is under 6 years of age.
