Manjhanpur is located at 25.53° N 81.38° E.[1] It has an average elevation of 90 metres (295 feet).

As of 2001 India census,[2] Manjhanpur had a population of 14,150. Males constitute 53% of the population and females 47%. Manjhanpur has an average literacy rate of 55%, lower than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 64%, and female literacy is 44%. In Manjhanpur, 17% of the population is under 6 years of age.

In manjhanpur there is a very famous and beautiful temple of Maa Durga. The temple captures a great crowd during Nauratri. Also a fare fair two fairs are organized every yeer just after the Nauratri.
