Manipal College of Medical Sciences

Manipal College of Medical Sciences is a medical school in Nepal. Established in 1994 and located in Pokhara, the school is affiliated with Kathmandu University. The school is the result of a collaboration between the Manipal Education and Medical Group (MEMG)and the Government of Nepal. A 700 bedded teaching hospital and dormitory facilities are located on the school's campus.

The curriculum of MBBS takes 5½ years – 4½ years to complete requirements for the Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery degree, and a compulsory rotating internship of one year. Classes begin each year in January and August.

Manipal College is listed in the 7th edition of the World Health Organization Directory of Accredited Medical Schools and the International Medical Education Directory (IMED) of the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG). ECFMG administers the United States Medical Licensure Examination (USMLE), which graduates of foreign medical schools must pass in order to be credentialed in the United States. The college is also recognized by the medical boards of Nepal, India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Mauritius and the state of California.
