Manilka Philips (28), one of the best news presenters in Sri Lanka, started her career when she was 19 years old. She joined the MTV(Sri Lanka) channel as a news reader/reporter and later became the prime time news reader/producer. She has covered many areas such as current affairs, sports, feature, business, science and technology. She later joined the Ogilvy Public Relations agency as the Sri Lankan manager but still continuing as a part time news anchor. In an interview with a local newspaper she said her dream is to join CNN news team in the future.
