Mani Majra

Mani majra is a small town, now inside the Union Territory of Chandigarh, India. It is situated very near to panchkula. This small town boasts of a fort which is now going to get a face lift.[1] The famous restaurant in this town is Panna sweets and very popular beauty saloon shringar they are both situated in the main bazaar street. the town also has a committee office in the center and a very functional library. Besides this, the small town also has a mall popular by the name of fun republic.[2]

Not only the fort, this town is a home to Gurudwara Mata Raj Kaur, where some pundit families from the region get the MUNDAN ceremony done of their new born in their 1st, 3rd or 5th year. It is said that offering there hair in the gurudwara keep the child protected from the ill-effects of Jadu-Tona etc.
