Mani (Persian: مانی ) is a masculine name of Persian origin. The literal meaning of Mani is "Gem". The name is common in some parts of South Asia, such as Pakistan, the Punjab, and South India.
The name has also lent itself to one of Mumbai's famous mansions, the Mani Bhavan, which was the focal point of Mahatma Gandhi's political activities in the city.
