Manheim Automotive Services is the largest and highest volume wholesale automobile auction company in the world. As a subsidiary of Cox Enterprises, Inc., Manheim provides services including financing, title work, transportation, recovery, auto body repair, dealership management systems, dent repair and remarketing technology. They are renown for using online tools to connect buyers and sellers around the globe.

Cox entered the auto auction business in 1968 by purchasing its namesake company, the Manheim Auto Auction, in Manheim, PA. Manheim is now the highest volume operator of wholesale auto auctions in the world with 135 locations in North America, Europe, Asia, and Australia. In addition, Cox Enterprises owns Cox Auto Trader, one of the world’s leading providers of online and print automotive consumer information. Largest auto auction in the world.

The FTC brought suit against Manheim for anticompetitive practices in 2000, forcing them to divest nine vehicle auctions to ADESA Inc.
