Mangrio ((Sindhi: ﻮﯾﺭﮝﻤ) [1] (Urdu: منگریو ) is the most community (ذﺍت) or common tribe of Sindhis living in Pakistan and India. The most Mangrios live in Pakistan’s Province Sindh. The number of Mangrios are living in the Desert of Thar and other remaining Mangrios are living in the Umerkot,Thar,Kandyaro, Sukkur, shikarpur, Naushahro Feroze, Rahim Yar Khan,Jaisalmer India and other many Districts of Sindh, Punjab and India.

Fakir Abdul Raheem Grohirri Mangrio (1152A.H-1192A.H) is the Saint and Poet of Sindh. He was Mangrio by caste.

According to popular belief, the Mangrio Tribe emerged in the desert of Rajputana’s state where a Hindu Raja named as Baji Rai who ruled that state. His Unmarried Daughter gave birth a child as Muslim then Raja killed his daughter and also wanted to kill the child but he could not did that, because that was miraculous child. The Raja thrown the child in fire but fire could not burn the child that is why the child named as Mangrrai. Mangrrai (ۥﻤﮝﺭﺭﺍﺀ) means Fire Then Raja gave that child to a Muslims. Mangrai got married, after that he had two Sons and a Daughter,the old one's name is Saahar and younger s is Thanhuro Then he went to Jaisalmer. After many years the Mangrio Tribe migrated from Jaisalmer to Shah Garh, then in Sindh First of all they settled in Ranipur and then Mirpur Khas and then other Cities.
