Mangalvedhe is a city and a municipal council in Solapur district in the Indian state of Maharashtra. It is the birthplace of Shri Jayatirtha also called as Teekacharya, one of the greatest saints of the Dvaita school of Vedanta.

As of 2001 India census[1], Mangalvedhe had a population of 21,694. Males constitute 52% of the population and females 48%. Mangalvedhe has an average literacy rate of 68%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 76%, and female literacy is 60%. In Mangalvedhe, 13% of the population is under 6 years of age.
