Mangalassery Neelakandan is the name of the character played by the Indian actor Mohanlal in the pathbreaking Malayalam movie titled Devasuram, directed by I. V. Sasi. This role is widely touted to be the most memorable performance by this actor. This character has definite shades of a villainous feudal lord. This character is also present in the movie's sequel, titled Ravanaprabhu. Mangalassery Neelakandan is shown to be killed towards the end of this movie.

Mangalassery is the name of the ancestral home of the protagonist of this storyline, Neelakandan. The character is shown to squander away all the wealth of the estate, indulging in all sorts of vices.
