Mang Yachang was the elite second in command officer under the Nanman King Meng Huo. At one time, Mang Yachang himself was ordered by Meng Huo to meet Zhuge Liang's forces during the Southern Campaign. However, Mang Yachang ended up being very badly beaten by that of Wang Ping, and was finally slain in battle against Ma Dai.
