Manfred Burgsmüller

Manfred Burgsmüller (born: 22nd December 1949 in Essen} is a former German soccer player who was also a kicker in American football. During his career in soccer he played for Borussia Dortmund, SV Werder Bremen, Rot-Weiss Essen, FC Nürnberg, Bayer Uerdingen, and Rot-Weiß Oberhausen. He is the 4th All-time leading scorer in Bundesliga with 213 goals(447 games). He scored 135 goals for Borussia Dortmund. He also played 3 times for West Germany from 1977 and 1978.
Burgsmüller retired from soccer in 1990, but made a comeback in NFL Europe in 1996. He was Rhein Fire's kicker from 1996 to 2002, becoming the oldest professional American football player in history at age 52. He won two World Bowls in 1998 and 2000.
