Manebhanjang

Manebhanjang or Manebhanjan (2150 m) is a village in the Darjeeling subdivision, Darjeeling district in the state of West Bengal in India. It is located at the gateway of the Singalila National Park, and the income of the residents is geared towards tourism, specially foreign trekkers. Manebhanjan is the start of the trailhead for the trek to Sandakphu on the Singalila Ridge, the highest point in West Bengal.

It is conveniently located 28 km from Darjeeling. As already mentioned, it is the start of the trailhead for the trek to Sandakphu on the Singalila Ridge.

Manebhanjang actually consists of two different countries viz. India and Nepal. The two countries are separated by a small drain covered with a culvert, which also acts as a motorstand for vehicles carrying out trips to Sukhiapokhri. The village has a marked, large playground, where every year a football match is organised.
