Manduca brontes, is a species of moth in the family Sphingidae. M. brontes brontes flies in Jamaica and Cuba, but is one of four subspecies.

Manduca diffissa has five subspecies:
- M. brontes brontes (Drury, 1773), flies in Jamaica and Cuba
- M. brontes cubensis (Kitching and Cadiou, 2000), flies in Cuba
- M. brontes haitiensis (B.P. Clark, 1916), flies in Haiti and Dominican Republic
- M. brontes pamphilius (Cramer, 1782), flies in Surinam
