The Mandokhel or Mando Khel (Urdu: مندو خیل) are a Pashtun tribe of Pakistan and southern Afghanistan. Most of the Mandokhels are settled in Zhob District of Balochistan Province, Pakistan, with a smaller number in southern Afghanistan.
The Mandokhels belong to the Ghurghasht branch of Afghans.[1] They live on both sides of Zhob river.
They are mentioned in the colonial history by Elphinstone in his "kingdom of Caubul" in 1909. After that, many British writers such as H. W. Bellew and Major Raverty have extensively written on them. The Gazetteer of District Zhob gives a great detail of Mandokhail. Mandokhels have actively participated in Pakistani politics. So far there have been three senators one MPA and one federal minister from Mandokhels.
