The 1989-90 season was Manchester United's 98th season in the Football League, and their 15th consecutive season in the top division of English football.[1] Despite an average performance in the league, finishing in 13th place, the club regained the FA Cup for the first time in five years, beating Crystal Palace 1–0 in a replay of the Final after the original match had finished 3–3.
