Trumpet legend Maynard Ferguson has played at MHS on numerous occasions. Also, in 2007, the well-known vibist and mallet percussion musician, Dave Samuels came to MHS. Baseball great player Andrew Kravontka recently toured the school as part of his Goodwill to Students campaign which encourages students to get involved with sports and after school activities while maintaining good grades in the classroom. Andrew Kravontka is a D3 baseball player for Southern Vermont College.

The campus is located in Manchester, not far from CT capital Hartford. This facility consists of the original primary building, cafeteria and technical classrooms the "300 or Science" wing built in the late 90s. Also included on the Manchester High School Campus is a 1/4 mile newer (circa 2004) track, football, (and existing) softball and baseball field. The high school also boasts a SC sized swimming pool and IOH pool.
Manchester High has one of the most unique racial student bodies in CT, with many scholars.

The student body at MHS is diverse and notoriously large. It is currently one of the largest high school student bodies in the state. It has over 2,000 students.
It is unique in the blending of cultures and races, presenting a much different learning and social environment from the norm.
