Manali is a town in Thiruvallur district in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. It is a northern suburb of Chennai. It has an industrial belt with major Chemical Industries, particularly Petrochemical Industry. It is home to Chennai Petrochemical Products Limited.

As of 2001 India census,[1] Manali had a population of 28,174. Males constitute 53% of the population and females 47%. Manali has an average literacy rate of 72%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 75%, and female literacy is 67%. In Manali, 13% of the population is under 6 years of age.
