Man, Controller of the Universe is a 1934 painting by Diego Rivera in the Palacio de Bellas Artes in Mexico City.
The painting is a recreation of the mural Man at the Crossroads, which was commissioned by Nelson Rockefeller for the Rockefeller Center. Rockefeller had the original destroyed. In Man, Controller of the Universe, Diego Rivera portrays a myriad of images, such as those of Leon Trotsky, STDs, and Lenin. All of these pictures represent the state of the world in the 1930s.
