Yes, you as a parent wouldn't know what you force your kids into doing:

"I'm gonna be out tonight, honey. You'll have to find something for yourself to eat. Sorry I forgot to get groceries..." I then go and look in the cupboard and it's empty...So I instead take out sharpened sticks, paint my face, and go into the basement. I hunt rats until I catch about 3. I then take them upstairs, put them over the stovetop, and the rest is history.
