Pizza Mia

How is the Pizza Mia page meaningless?--Ro098 (talk) 23:25, 15 May 2008 (UTC)

It is an article about a single type of pizza deal offered at one pizza place that has not received significant media coverage from third-party reliable sources. My reason for deletion was not "meaningless", it was "No meaningful, substansive content" which implies my above reason. For more information on notability, see this page. If you have any other questions, don't hesitate to ask. Malinaccier (talk) 23:31, 15 May 2008 (UTC)

Can or should I add it to the pizza hut page?--Ro098 (talk) 00:59, 16 May 2008 (UTC)

I would personally advise against it, but you may wish to take the matter up on the discussion page of the article. The article Pizza Hut could use some references if you'd like to help in that way. If you have any more questions, I would be glad to help! Malinaccier (talk) 01:02, 16 May 2008 (UTC)

WP:HAU

Hello again. The Highly Active Users project has gone through a complete revamping per popular demand. We believe this new format will make it easier for new editors to find assistance. However, with the new format, I must again ask you to verify your information on this page. I attempted to translate the data from the old version to the new, but with the extensive changes, I may have made some errors. Thanks again. Useight (talk) 04:26, 16 May 2008 (UTC)

Thank you for the notification. Malinaccier Public (talk) 12:03, 16 May 2008 (UTC)

RFA Thanks

Thanks for your support at my recent Request for adminship. It’s good to know that some understand my attitude toward Wikipedia. I’m afraid I can’t guarantee completely avoiding drama, but I certainly have had my fill of it over the last few days! I hope you find I live up to your expectations. Best, Risker (talk) 13:39, 16 May 2008 (UTC)

Answer 2

Is my answer to question 2 OK? I have stated that I haven't ever been in a proper conflict. I once heard someone say that one oughn't write that one hadn't ever been in a conflict because most people have. But (to my knowledge) I never have been. How would you define 'conflict'? --Cameron (t|p|c) 21:54, 16 May 2008 (UTC)

Thanks, I noticed (and have extended my answers!). = ) --Cameron (t|p|c) 22:18, 16 May 2008 (UTC)
Would you advise me to submit the Rfa section of my admin coaching into my proper Rfa, or would such an action be frowned upon? --Cameron (t|p|c) 22:57, 16 May 2008 (UTC)
Oh I see what you mean now. I have made it look rather like a personal conversation (insofar as I directed it at you). --Cameron (t|p|c) 22:59, 16 May 2008 (UTC)

Adminship

This is the third time I've been asked, so maybe I should take it on. I'll need to attend the school though.

Oh, and how do I install rollback?

RfA thank-spam

Malinaccier/Archive 11, just a note of appreciation for your recent support of my request for adminship, which ended successfully with 112 supports, 2 opposes, and 1 neutral. If there's something I've realized during my RFA process this last week, it's that adminship is primarily about trust. I will strive to honour that trust in my future interactions with the community. Many thanks! Gatoclass (talk) 06:26, 17 May 2008 (UTC)

Hi Malinaccier,

While I trust your judgement on the above, this worries me.

RfA: Many thanks
Many thanks for your participation in my recent request for adminship. I am impressed by the amount of thought that goes into people's contribution to the RfA process, and humbled that so many have chosen to trust me with this new responsibility. I step into this new role cautiously, but will do my very best to live up to your kind words and expectations, and to further the project of the encyclopedia. Again, thank you. --jbmurray (talkcontribs) 05:58, 18 May 2008 (UTC)

Status

Sorry to bother you yet again! = )I was just considering adding myself to statusbot's list when I noticed you update your status manually. Are there any benefits from doing so manually? Or, to put it another way, are there any downsides to adding oneself to the list? Regards, --Cameron (t|p|c) 13:59, 18 May 2008 (UTC)

I think I shall consider doing it manually too. I too spend ages reading (during which time I am not actively editing). Mind you, as a non-admin I could be accused of trying to push my edit count up (personally, I only view edit counts as a crude way of determining ability but some other people are of a different opinion). --Cameron (t|p|c) 17:41, 18 May 2008 (UTC)

Sorry to be talk page stalking here, but if I may suggest using {{Truestatus}} to extend the time period that you will be displayed "online" after your last edit per StatusBot. It can also show you as "Recently online". (instructions on the template, let me know if you have further questions). xenocidic ( talk ¿ review ) 13:00, 20 May 2008 (UTC)

My recent RfA

Thank you for supporting my RfA, which unfortunately didn't succeed. The majority of the opposes stated that I needed more experience in the main namespace and Wikipedia namespace and talk space, so that is what I will do. I have made a list and I hope I will be able to get through it. I will go for another RfA in about three month's time and I hope you will be able to support me then as well. If you have any other comments for me or wish to be notified when I go for another RfA, please leave them on my talk page. If you wish to nominate me for my next RfA, please wait until it has been about three months. I will not be checking back to this page so if you would like to comment or reply please use my talk page. Thanks again for participating in my RfA! ·Add§hore· Talk/Cont 06:59, 20 May 2008 (UTC)

Hey

Just wanted to drop you a note based on you response to my oppose opinion on Scetoaux Rfa. Sorry if it seems that I was picking on you directly, that was not my intention. I was taking umbrage with the process. I do understand that the project does need “Specialized” – “Criteria” and, in general, people to handle the mop. However, it seems that it has become a contest of “who can nominate” the most individuals or who has the “most successful” candidates that get the extra buttons. In the process, individuals like Scetoaux are caught up in the process. Here we have a candidate, if they keep up their present contribution quantity and quality, which would be a shoo-in in about three to six months. However, after only 30 days we are nominating them to make decisions on whether to Keep or Delete – Block or not to Block – Use snow or let the process to continue. Sorry, I believe it is unfair to both the process and the individual. ShoesssS Talk 00:40, 21 May 2008 (UTC)

Again I'm sorry it was between you and SynergeticMaggot and your name was easier to spell. Likewise, I do understand the need for additional administrators, but it seems that many times we throw a majority of the good candidates out with just a few of the bad because of an individual criteria’s, rather than looking at the primary goal of the project. And to invoke a personal agenda, I like to see someone with at least 6 months of experience before deciding what stays and what does not. Thanks for listening. ShoesssS Talk 01:10, 21 May 2008 (UTC)

Hello Malinaccier/Archive 11! I'd like to leave a note of appreciation for your recent support of my request for adminship, which ended successfully today (and to my surprise) with 83 supports, 4 opposes, and 2 neutral. I would like to thank you again and state here that I will not let any of my fellow Wikipedian's down. Thanks again! --Jza84 |  Talk  11:33, 21 May 2008 (UTC)

New Rollback items in toolbox

Hello, again, Malinaccier. I have a question about Rollback, if you're not too busy with admin tasks.

I just noticed I have new items in my toolbox, presumably for Rollback. I've tried using them, but I have no idea how to make proper use of them; I don't even see a diff button which I usually use to detect vandal edits. Are there any differences between the special toolbox buttons and the normal "Recent Changes" link that is usually used?

Cheers, --Mizu onna sango15/珊瑚15 22:08, 21 May 2008 (UTC).

Hi Malinaccier. I'm not sure if there's a previous history behind your indef block of User:Loiterton. I've come across this by following the paper trail of a vandal named User:DaAlmighty1, who is also inappropriately inserting "Philip Loiterton" and "Zimu Zhang" into articles. Orphaned non-free media (Image:Chiodosbros album.jpg)

Thanks for uploading Image:Chiodosbros album.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 09:06, 2 June 2008 (UTC)

Hey there Malinaccier, we edit conflicted trying to give rollback to User:GO-PCHS-NJROTC (I was trying to approve him as well). Hello yet again. I regretfully inform you that the bot we were using to update the user status at Wikipedia:Highly Active Users, SoxBot V, was blocked for its constant updating. With this bot out of operation, a patch is in the works. Until that patch is reviewed and accepted by the developers, some options have been presented to use as workarounds: 1) Qui monobook (not available in Internet Explorer); 2) User:Hersfold/StatusTemplate; 3) Manually updating User:StatusBot/Status/USERNAME; or 4) Not worry about it and wait for the patch to go through, which hopefully won't take long. Proper Name moves

Hello, I noticed that Hal Jeffcoat was moved to Harold Jeffcoat, with the reason given, "Move to more proper name". He has always been referred to as Hal, and baseball reference sites refer to him in the headers as this as well. Is this some sort of policy, and if so, why has Ken Griffey Jr. not been moved to his proper name, George Kenneth Griffey Jr. or George Griffey Jr., or Sammy Sosa to Samuel Sosa? His son, another baseball player, is also named Harold Jeffcoat. I do not understand why this change was necessary. SashaNein (talk) 14:03, 4 June 2008 (UTC)

My RFB

I have answered your question regarding admin coaching. Useight (talk) 22:12, 6 June 2008 (UTC)

My admin coaching request

I know that I have not been active for very long here, but since I became active, I've mostly been doing things like vandal-fighting and taggin. I ask how much of my edit history you looked at, as, as of late, I have not been very active in the main space. The reason for this is that my computer is nearing death. Every once and while I must quit my browser so that my computer does not crash. Some times I have to quit it because it cannot load diffs. So, I have not been doing much, mostly userspace editing as you saw. When I am able to acess other computers, like my brother's, I usually become more active against vandalism, as his computer can handle the scripts I have installed, such as TW.

I know I have not been here long, and I may not have enough experience in some aspects, but in others I do, and having a coach would greatly improve my understanding of the current standing policies and guilelines.

I apologize if this response feels fragmented, I never thought of myself as a good writer.— dαlusT@lk / Improve\ Contribs 23:56, 6 June 2008 (UTC)
