[edit] An apology

To start I must say that I am sorry if I offended you in any way before. Also the Caps lock thing was once. I do not normally address people on talk pages LIKE THIS. Also I saw that you mentioned on my editor review that I do not assume good faith. Can you show me one time that I have not done this? Also improving wikipedia is what I am here for. As you can see I have a considerable amount of edits. I have never vandalised wikipedia. Why would you say that I need to put improving Wikipedia first. Again I appologize for any way I have offended you. Thank you for your time. DBZROCKS 14:41, 14 April 2007 (UTC)

In all fairness, I have seen you type in caps with other people, but I appreciate your apology. I just got the feeling that some of your edits were a little too blunt, and weren't as helpful as they could have been. Just my opinion. You do a good job of getting rid of fandom, and nonsensical statements though. You might want to take a look at the article, Super Saiyan. Quite a bit of it isn't quite encyclopedic, and needs clean up. For example, "Broly's final form is very similar to an Ultra Super Saiyan, but with several notable differences. His size, muscle mass, strength, and speed are far beyond that of any regular Super Saiyan to the point of being ridiculous." That last part just doesn't sound encyclopedic. [edit] Seung-Hui Cho

Hello. I've removed Image:Oldboy hammer.jpg from Seung-Hui Cho. The image was uploaded as a fair-use image, however inclusion in Seung-Hui Cho doesn't qualify as fair use. WODUP 23:35, 23 April 2007 (UTC)

My mistake. WODUP 08:38, 24 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Comparisons to Oldboy

The comparison is legitimate, and I have cleared editing conflicts with other editors. Please read the following citation, http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/18207904/site/newsweek/?from=rss

Thanks. Malamockq 15:35, 24 April 2007 (UTC)

I've thought it over and I think it's alright, but just barely hanging on by a thin thread of relevance. As it is phrased in the wikipedia article all it says is that the photos look similar, and seeing as it is in the "Contents" section I suppose this is fine. I just hope that it stays a simple, "Oh look, the pictures look similar" and doesn't turn into a Columbine-style, "The rock music made them kill people" kind of deal. -- itistoday (Talk) 15:46, 24 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Your revert to King cold

King cold was redirected to list of aliens in dragonball because of his relitive unimportance in dragon ball. If you wish to revive redirects dig it up on the wikiproject dragon ball talk page. DBZROCKS 00:51, 8 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Deletion of comments

Sorry to bother you again but I thought it was worthwhile to tell you that I reverted your edit to the dragon Ball wikiproject talk page. You deleted 3 comments under the grounds that they were trollish. I have looked them (the comments) over and found nothing of the sort. DBZROCKS 21:09, 8 May 2007 (UTC)

You can't go around deleting peoples comments just because you don't like them. No is not trolling. the third comment may not of been exactally apropriate but it doesn't give you a right to delete it. Unless Dark Dragon Flame specifically attacks you than you can't delete it. DBZROCKS 21:21, 8 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] My sugestion

I did not say go to the wikiproject Dragon Ball talk page to further the discussion I ment to go there if you wanted to talk about any other redirects that you think are unfair in the future. DBZROCKS 22:17, 8 May 2007 (UTC)

? What? DBZROCKS 22:24, 8 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Deinonychus

Hey Malamockq!

It appears you have put in 22 edits on Wikipedia's article on Deinonychus. This article is a current Featured Article Candidate. If you could drop by the article's candidacy page and indicate how you think the article might be improved, and how it could better meet the Featured Article requirements, it would be greatly appreciated. Your input on this important dinosaur is important. Best wishes and happy editing, Firsfron of Ronchester 02:48, 3 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Replaceable fair use Image:LW3.jpg

Replaceable fair use

Thanks for uploading Image:LW3.jpg. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the image description page and edit it to add {{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or a similar) image under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that fair use images which could be replaced by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted 7 days after this notification, per our Fair Use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. – Quadell (talk) (random) 14:01, 10 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Page move

Hello. You were brave to "move" the Cricket article, but if it is to be moved it must actually be "moved" to preserve the article's history. Please don't just copy the content to another page. --RobertGtalk 16:46, 1 August 2007 (UTC)

I'm neutral on the merits of the move. I expect you didn't mean "afd", but "rm"! This would definitely be the right thing to do, but are you aware that it has been discussed before? Best wishes, RobertGtalk 16:52, 1 August 2007 (UTC)
FYI, also here (I opposed there, but I'm not very sure I'd even enter the discussion now). --RobertGtalk 17:00, 1 August 2007 (UTC)

Please see WP:Disambiguation The basis for giving priority to popularity over meaning is contained in those guidelines. I strongly disagree with this approach but that is the current consensus. Pendragon39 03:44, 3 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Assuming Good Faith

In regards to the post I posted here that you have now removed, you say that he removed the mvoe notice from the page. Please caerfully review the diff here to see he did not remove it from the page. The editor in questions moved it below the skip to TOC header. I apologize if I jumped the gun on your warning however find that before you call any editor a vandal you should check and double check the edit. If you have any questions about the edit or fail to see that he did not remove the move notice, please let me know. Thank you and happy editing. Chrislk02 (Chris Kreider) 16:59, 6 August 2007 (UTC)

I, Chrislk02, award you this resilient barnstar for being willing to go back and review the diffs. I apologize for my heavy handed warning, and am very appreciative of how well you handled the situation once the situation came to light. Chrislk02 (Chris Kreider) 17:13, 6 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Problems with an Admin

Hey, I noticed you took note of some wrong doing done by the admin, Friday a little while ago. She's harrassing me right now, and I was wondering if you knew any admins that might tell her to stop. I don't know any myself. If I'm wrong in this, feel free to tell me, but I don't believe I am. 64.236.121.129 15:16, 4 December 2007 (UTC)

[edit] 31 hour block for incivility

I see no point in reasoning with you, so I am blocking you in the hope that you work it out for yourself. LessHeard vanU (talk) 23:00, 22 February 2008 (UTC)

Why did you block me? When was I incivil? To William? I asked him not to talk down to me. I wasn't being rude. I was asking him not to be rude to me. You can't block me for that. To Asams? He was yelling at me, and I never spoke to him rudely. Malamockq (talk) 01:07, 23 February 2008 (UTC)

Oh boy, I just checked your edit history. It's about Asams right? Two administrators reverted his comments, and commented on his talk page, which he already removed.

Please see, http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=User_talk%3AAsams10&diff=192406488&oldid=192370037

http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=User_talk%3AAsams10&diff=192368894&oldid=192367784

Also check the edit history of the talk page for XM8. His comments were reverted by an administrator. He then undid them. I then reverted them. Malamockq (talk) 01:17, 23 February 2008 (UTC)

Please consult with User:Stephan Schulz, who is an administrator which was involved in this incident, and ask him if it was fair to block me. Malamockq (talk) 01:18, 23 February 2008 (UTC)

Also can you please cite an instance where I actually was being incivil? Asams10 was yelling at me in caps, and was using vulgar language. I never yelled at him, or used vulgar language when dealing with him. Malamockq (talk) 01:38, 23 February 2008 (UTC)

Please see (notice his edit summaries, using vulgarities, and capslock), http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Talk:XM8_rifle&diff=prev&oldid=193022803 http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=User_talk:Asams10&diff=prev&oldid=193022725 http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=User_talk:Malamockq&diff=prev&oldid=192331234 http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=User_talk:Asams10&diff=prev&oldid=192330859

The IP, 72.81.226.247 is a suspected IP sockpuppet he uses, which have made similar edits to amplify support in his favor. See, User talk:72.81.226.247 in particular the "Shouting" section in which the IP he was using was shouting at me.

The IP also did the following,

http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Talk%3AXM8_rifle&diff=191327883&oldid=191322807 Which was identified as vandalism by user:BonesBrigade

Which he then reverted in this, http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Talk%3AXM8_rifle&diff=191557434&oldid=191327883

Which was reverted by user:Alyeska http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Talk%3AXM8_rifle&diff=191707444&oldid=191557434

To which Asams responded rudely using caps with this http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Talk%3AXM8_rifle&diff=191754023&oldid=191707444

Which then, the IP, Asams is suspected of using as a sockpuppet, 72.81.226.247 made this edit http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Talk%3AXM8_rifle&diff=192179017&oldid=191754023

Malamockq (talk) 01:50, 23 February 2008 (UTC)

I have contacted Stephan Schultz, requesting that they review my actions and make comment if appropriate. LessHeard vanU (talk) 14:31, 23 February 2008 (UTC)
Did you follow the links I posted? Many of Asams and his IP sockpuppet's edits were reverted by other users. He was making rude, shouting comments using vulgarities. Furthermore in regards to your comments on Stephan's talk page,
"I saw that Malamockq was making no effort to communicate with other editors,"
Incorrect. I have attempted communication with both Asams and other editors. Seen here I spoke directly to Asams asking him not to yell and be rude on talk pages,
http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=User_talk:Asams10&diff=prev&oldid=192330421
Here with William M. Connolley, an admin, I asked him for advice or intervention
http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=User_talk:William_M._Connolley&diff=prev&oldid=192338656
And here with Stephan Schulz, we came to an understanding of how to handle the situation.
http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=User_talk:Stephan_Schulz&diff=prev&oldid=192387903
Your next comment, "was re-inserting inappropriate questions on an article talkpage". I was asking a question to help improve the article. I was asking what was the current status of the XM8 and if it was being sold to other countries. Surely this would be an important piece of information to add to the article correct? User:Wikidemo Agreed that the question was useful, and could help improve the article, which can be seen here,
http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Talk%3AXM8_rifle&diff=193286214&oldid=193281235
Asams10 and his sock puppet IP, 72.81.226.247's, edits were vulgar, rude, and unhelpful. I strongly urge you to look into both of those user's edits and edit summaries which I have listed above, but you can also check their post histories. Malamockq (talk) 14:55, 23 February 2008 (UTC)
I disagree with this block, and have said so on ANI. I'm going to give L a chance to speak before doing anything though William M. Connolley (talk) 18:02, 23 February 2008 (UTC)
Thanks William. Maybe we can see eye to eye after all. Perhaps you could drop a line at L's talk page? Malamockq (talk) 01:47, 24 February 2008 (UTC)

First off, I am not Asams10's sock puppet, you've simply assumed that I am based on the fact that I agreed with him. I could tell you what I think about that, but then I would be blocked, as it would be far ruder than just yelling at you. Second, I have already agreed to stay out of the arguement that you two are having about your comment, after I was advised to do so William M. Connolley. Having said this, do not go around saying I'm Asams sock puppet based on "our posts are similar". Good day.72.81.226.247 (talk) 19:52, 23 February 2008 (UTC)

The fact that you are following my talk page, and feel the need to justify yourself makes it almost blatantly obvious that you are a sock puppet of Asams10's. None of the other editors on XM8's talk page saw fit to follow my talk, nor speak to me in the rude and offensive manner that you and Asams10 did. Malamockq (talk) 01:46, 24 February 2008 (UTC)

By the way, could you point out were I (72.81.226.247) was useing "vulgarities", because I don't see were I did. Was I rude? I will admit that my shouting at you was a bit uncalled for and I am sorry for doing that (my post was the one in all caps and bold). However you, in no way attempted to open a dialog with us on weather your question was appropriate for wikipedia. You went to Asams page and different admin pages and complained about us deleting your question every time you reposted it as well as typing in all caps. I hardly call that "opening a dialog". Unhelpful? I answered your question and then you proceeded to delete it. I believe it was when I posted "No and no,now please refrain from asking such questions.". Bolded parts are the parts were I answered your question. Please tell me apart from the shouting what exactly did I do wrong.13Tawaazun14 (talk) 01:39, 24 February 2008 (UTC)

Wow. Just wow. Look at the date he created this account. Malamockq (talk) 01:46, 24 February 2008 (UTC)

Less, about your comments at ANI,

"Interesting, since the edit that cut it for me was the one posted to your talkpage, particularly the last sentence."

That comment I made at William's talk page, while strong, was not incivil. I meant no offense to William, and I never would. Furthermore, that wasn't the issue brought up by Asams. I was never incivil towards Asams. However both him and his IP sockpuppet which is now posting on my talk page, were yelling at me and using vulgarities. Both William and Stephen can attest to that. I have cited the examples above as well. Please review them.

"I thought that that post was typical of most of the exchanges by this editor"

And why did you assume that? Why didn't you investigate the matter further before applying the ban? Jumping to conclusions is hardly the appropriate action to take. Malamockq (talk) 01:56, 24 February 2008 (UTC)

Well I would have unblocked you, but the block has expired. Welcome back to editing. Although I don't think this block was justified, I do think you should be re-considering the behaviour that lead to it. In particular, your comment on my talk page is easily interpreted as incivil William M. Connolley (talk) 10:00, 24 February 2008 (UTC)
He still blocked my IP. I can't edit still. Can you take that off? And yes, I was unnecessarily blocked for 31 hours because it took that long to investigate this matter, when Less should have investigated the matter before jumping to conclusions. And believe me when I say, the comment on your talk page was intended with no offense at all. Perhaps you could have been a bit more civil instead of making that rather nasty threat? I think that helps prevent any problems in the future. In any case, don't you think Asams10 deserves to be blocked for his rudeness and behavior towards me? He's also using an IP sockpuppet, which I think is almost blatantly obvious now. I think it's only fair considering I was wrongfully blocked.Malamockq (talk) 14:01, 24 February 2008 (UTC)

No. You bring me back into this arguement when you accuse me of being someones sock poppet on the basis of I agreed with him. Follow your page? No such thing. I saw you accuse me of being asams sock poppet when I was considering reporting you to William. Yelling at you and useing vulgarities? If you accually read my post, you'd see that I did no such thing. And of course I feel the need to justify myself. Your throwing around accusations that aren't true. No one else is responding to your talk page because no one else is being accused of being a sock poppet on grounds what ain't there. Forget it man, I'm done with you. If you want to respond to me further do it on my talk page.13Tawaazun14 (talk) 13:51, 24 February 2008 (UTC)

I'm not going into this. I cited the evidence of what you did. William knows what you did too. You tried to get me wrongfully blocked just to make yourself feel good, and you accomplished that. Malamockq (talk) 14:05, 24 February 2008 (UTC)

I did not report you to an admin. Also I already apologized for my actions (shouting) earlier, had you read my posts you would have known that. I tried to do no such thing, in fact, I tried to stay out of this arguement and then you accused me of being someones sock poppet, which brought me back in. BTW, if you did not want me to responed you should not have accused me of being asams sock poppet.13Tawaazun14 (talk) 14:15, 24 February 2008 (UTC)

You apologized to William, when you should have apologized to me. You only apologized to me after I was blocked, and I cited evidence linking you to Asams10. That, I do not take as a sincere apology. You are just trying to cover yourself. Malamockq (talk) 14:28, 24 February 2008 (UTC)

Cover myself? Are you kidding me? First off, I did not know you were blocked until I read this page. Second, the evidence you have is me agreeing with him. Can you explain that to me how that makes me asams sock poppet because I don't understand your line of logic? By this logic if man A agrees with man B over man C, then man A must be man B. That makes no sence. In fact by that line of logic wikidemo must be your sock poppet. I did not apoligize to you after I apoligized to william because I was hopeing that I could get out of dodge but it seems the fates had other plans. BTW, please read the TDI Vector talk page. You will notice that you and I are not so different in we have both had similar curcumstances in dealing with asams. But I did something different than you, guess what it is.13Tawaazun14 (talk) 15:10, 24 February 2008 (UTC)

Thank you. I have added you to the Category. Malamockq (talk) 19:12, 24 February 2008 (UTC)
Um, you cannot add a sysop to that category - only they can add themselves to it. As I don't intend to join that category (per my userpage) you will have to find another route. LessHeard vanU (talk) 19:19, 24 February 2008 (UTC)
You are the person seeking my recall - you should be aware of the of the procedures before committing to them... In the circumstances you can either start a discussion at the administrators noticeboard or commence a Request for Comment, and see what support you get. LessHeard vanU (talk) 19:25, 24 February 2008 (UTC)
It was in response to this... As this seems to be getting nowhere quickly I am going to make a suggestion - if you are willing to concede that your interactions with other editors could be improved I am willing to apologise for the severity of the block. LessHeard vanU (talk) 20:11, 24 February 2008 (UTC)

This [2] was a mistake. So was this [3]. You are making things worse for yourself William M. Connolley (talk) 19:52, 24 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Helpful hints

It's very easy to report a sock puppet. Go here: Wikipedia:Suspected_sock_puppets and follow the directions. It's a waste of time, of course, but that's the proper way to go about it. --Asams10 (talk) 21:53, 24 February 2008 (UTC)

All in good time. Malamockq (talk) 21:54, 24 February 2008 (UTC)
All in good time? When you've finished attacking and slandering myself, this anon, the other registered user, and the admin, then you'll actually start reporting? Okay. Again, you're wrong. --Asams10 (talk) 22:04, 24 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] YOUR MISTREATMENT

I'm having my own dealings with William H. Connolley and his band of brothers.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Measurement_causes_collapse

I have to say that he obviously didn't do much research. You asked a simple question and were treated rudely. That much is obvious.

You should not have been banned.

Lordvolton (talk) 10:46, 2 March 2008 (UTC)

Thank you. I was treated rudely, but sadly people in the right on wiki, don't get treated fairly sometimes. I essence, anyone with admin powers can do whatever they want it seems, whether they are right or wrong. Essjay controversy is proof of that. What you can do is, monitor the actions of various admins like user:LessHeard vanU, who I opened the discussion to recall on, and watch for any wrong doing. If enough people complain, bad admins are dropped. I appreciate the support. Malamockq (talk) 16:23, 2 March 2008 (UTC)
By the way this is a misunderstanding. Some admins voluntarily offer themselves to recall. All others once elected one has to go through a much longer process to remove. Enough people complaining isn't enough. Ultimately this requires intervention of the arbitration committee but you would need to start a "request for comment" first. Better however is to try to get on with people which is a skill useful in the rest of life as well.--BozMo talk 09:33, 5 March 2008 (UTC)
I offer your last statement back to you. I think it might help you. Malamockq (talk) 00:40, 6 March 2008 (UTC)
I note your feelings on the subject. --BozMo talk 16:48, 6 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Screaming etc

Dear Malamockq,

I have been thinking about the issue of screaming. The only thing I can find on wikipedia policy is a note from Jimbo Wales saying that writing in caps would make the reader less sympathetic. Why does this particular behaviour upset you? Is there some bit of convention I don't know about? --BozMo talk 08:35, 5 March 2008 (UTC)

Oh, btw just seen your comment on WMC's talk page. I am fascinated that what I wrote as a polite warning you read as a sinister threat? I did not even say I was likely to block for this (I have never so far blocked anyone for incivility) just that I think LV needs to try rather hard given his generally incivil comments to get things like that right. "Mr" as a term of address is generally an insult where I come from but I appreciate some people think it is polite. Getting a name wrong repeatedly might be taken as deliberate. I thought on your other issue we should have been better about how things were handled. I am not sure why you originally approached WMC who (like some hockey referees) has a tendency to place both parties in a squabble in sinbin to think about it. In general posting on AN/I (which you may have done) might have got a more sympathetic introduction. --BozMo talk 09:24, 5 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Image source problem with Image:X-seed4000.jpg

Image Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading Image:X-seed4000.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 06:56, 12 March 2008 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Alex Spade (talk) 06:56, 12 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Orphaned non-free media (Image:X-seed4000.jpg)

Thanks for uploading Image:X-seed4000.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 12:07, 18 March 2008 (UTC)
