User talk:Malacht Cromail ort

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I wasn't aware that I had. What are you refering to? If this is about the mercenary question, I've addressed it in detail on the talk page. Jdorney 10:15, 8 July 2007 (UTC)

Ah, I see what you mean now. Wasn't me though, it was User:Greycap. Check the history and go to'compare different versions'. Take it up with him. Though for the record I agree with his changes. Jdorney 10:17, 8 July 2007 (UTC)

It was me who removed them, as Jdorney says. The reason I did so is that it is a big chunk of text to put into the section that could more helpfully be dealt with as a reference. It is not that I don't like the reference to Reilly per se. A sentence along the lines of "Irish historian Tom Reilly has recently attempted to rehabilitate Cromwell's reputation in Ireland... etc" together with a reference - to his book - I think is fine. But just dumping chunks of quotations from a newspaper in doesn't, I think, add much to the article. That's why I removed it during the rewrite. Can we find a way of trimming it down along these lines? Greycap 10:27, 8 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Tom Reilly

Hi. There are some questions being asked as to whether the Tom Reilly page, as currently constituted, is appropriate. As the creator of the page, maybe you should comment/have a look. Hughsheehy 08:48, 17 July 2007 (UTC)
