This template is meant to be used in maldivian islands articles. This template uses two auxiliary templates. They are;

[edit] Updatin the template
I think it would be a good idea to update the current Template:Maldives Island. It would be nice to include info like the islands's official website URL, population(already exists, but can be divided into male and female) and change the Location so that Longitude and latitude can be very clear. --Mulaku Soru Aug 16, 2006
- Very few islands, of the inhabited 200 islands, have got a website. We can modify the template to have an optional parameter for this. As for dividing population and presenting the figure separately for both male and female may not be such a good idea or useful for that matter. I am in favor of a total figure. There is a template for posting geo locations. See Template_talk:Coor_dm ← we invoke this template, in location parameter, to define geo location. See Malé for an example. I'll modify the template to include the optional parameter sometime. Meanwhile discuss any other changes that you think are necessary. --Oblivious 11:03, 16 August 2006 (UTC)

I really don't think it's encyclopedic to have the phone/fax numbers listed. See WP:DIRECTORY Charles (Kznf) (talk) 23:32, 28 February 2008 (UTC)
