Talk:Malmonde

Pankkake, those links you are trying to add are not useful, so just quit trying to add them. Discogs only has one album, and the info on musicbrainz is minimal and already figures in the article. Discogs even falls under the category sites that primarily exist to sell products or services. If you wish to advertise those sites, do it elsewhere. Please see WP:EL to find out what external links qualify and which don't. Considering how little information they add (actually, none at all), I consider your trying to add these links as External link spamming and will remove them as long as you don't justify their necessity. --IronChris 16:53, 6 April 2006 (UTC)
No, you don't have:
- tracklists
- precise releases dates, with labels and countries
- information on songs & data track
But I'm too tired to fight... just do what you want. --pankkake 19:40, 6 April 2006 (UTC)
- Well, if the sites you proposed had this information, then OK. But they don't. Besides, if you want this information to figure on Wikipedia, why don't you add it? Just create an article for the album Eva (the article for Malmonde is already done). That would take 5 minutes. Adding precise release dates and labels (actually, the labels are mentionned in the bio) would take a further 30 seconds. Adding an external link when an article lacks some information is not the way to build an encyclopedia. Regards, IronChris 19:58, 6 April 2006 (UTC)
- Ok, I checked MusicBrainz again and put the link back as it does have some good stuff (covers, track info), though the lay out of the site is painfully unfriendly in my opinion. --IronChris 22:11, 6 April 2006 (UTC)
- I agree, and as I'm a registered user there I changed the default layout. --pankkake 22:23, 6 April 2006 (UTC)
err, Article starts with "Malmonde are a French band formed in 1999" but then in the Bio section: "Malmonde was first formed at the end of 1991" I think it needs revision
