[edit] Speedy deletion

This article does not appear to meet the criteria for speedy deletion, the only criterion that could seem to apply being Unremarkable people, groups, companies and websites. If you have any doubts about it an AfD would be more appropriate. The article already includes sufficient detail about the importance or significance of its subject in my view. In no way is this an 'obvious' candidate for deletion and speedy delete should in my view not be used for articles such as this. It could do with more detail, so perhaps stubbing it would be sufficient? --Michig 19:30, 15 October 2006 (UTC)

There are also 4 other articles linking to this one.--Michig 19:32, 15 October 2006 (UTC)

Just by looking at what's in the article we have:

  • 1. Malka Spigel was a founder member of Minimal Compact - certainly a notable band.
  • 2. Had a song on the soundtrack to the Wim Wender's movie Wings of Desire.
  • 3. Has worked with the very notable Colin Newman of the very notable Wire for 20 years.
  • 4. Has had installations and video work exhibited at the Irish Museum of Modern Art and the Royal Festival Hall.

so is notable as both a musician and an artist. If this isn't enough, then half of Wikipedia needs to go.--Michig 19:47, 15 October 2006 (UTC)

We can add to that:

  • 5. 2 albums as a solo artist - this in itself qualifies as notability.--Michig 19:56, 15 October 2006 (UTC)
