This page should mention his abortive run in the 2001 election under the Paul Osborne Independents ticket.

Ta. There's also his "I never got anything from rugby league" or similar, but I couldn't find a source as to what was actaully said. --Paul 08:29, 13 October 2005 (UTC)

Malcolm Norman Meninga AM (born July 8, 1960 in Bundaberg, Queensland) is an Australian rugby league identity. What does the identity, is it a strange way of saying legend. Londo06 17:44, 10 May 2007 (UTC)

You'll get no argument from me that the man's a dead set legend, but some wikipedians might regard it as non NPOV. I guess 'identity' was used as it spans 'player', 'coach' and 'celebrity'. Much like Paul Vautin or George Piggins.--Jeff79 21:50, 10 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Boxing?

Anyone know about those boxing matches where Big Mal kicks some ass. You can see them if you search Meninga on youtube. They look like some kinda charity thing I guess. Might be worth a mention somewhere in this article.--Jeff79 (talk) 15:43, 25 February 2008 (UTC)
