This page should mention his abortive run in the 2001 election under the Paul Osborne Independents ticket.

- Ta. There's also his "I never got anything from rugby league" or similar, but I couldn't find a source as to what was actaully said. --Paul 08:29, 13 October 2005 (UTC)
Malcolm Norman Meninga AM (born July 8, 1960 in Bundaberg, Queensland) is an Australian rugby league identity. What does the identity, is it a strange way of saying legend. Londo06 17:44, 10 May 2007 (UTC)
- You'll get no argument from me that the man's a dead set legend, but some wikipedians might regard it as non NPOV. I guess 'identity' was used as it spans 'player', 'coach' and 'celebrity'. Much like Paul Vautin or George Piggins.--Jeff79 21:50, 10 May 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Boxing?
Anyone know about those boxing matches where Big Mal kicks some ass. You can see them if you search Meninga on youtube. They look like some kinda charity thing I guess. Might be worth a mention somewhere in this article.--Jeff79 (talk) 15:43, 25 February 2008 (UTC)
