Malus angustifolia is a species of crabapple. The fruit is astringent and acidic and is not platable when raw. The fruit can be use to make jellies, jams and food preserves. The fruit are small and have an aroma secnt, it has a pear-like shape. It is a tree grown as an ornamental plant. It is native to east southern USA.
