Maltese-Swiss relations are foreign relations between Malta and Switzerland. Malta has 2 honorary consulates (in Lugano, Zurich). The Swiss ambassador in Rome was accredited to the Maltese government shortly after it achieved independence. In 2003 the Swiss Honorary Consulate in Valletta, which had been there since 1937, was upgraded to the status of Honorary General Consulate.
