Jan Malte Metzelder (born May 19, 1982 in Haltern,North Rhine-Westphalia) is a German football Defender playing for FC Ingolstadt 04 in the Regionalliga Süd.
The 1.95m tall defender, made his debut with Preußen Münster in June, 2001 and two years later moved to Borussia Dortmund to play alongside his older brother Christoph. He was rarely used in Dortmund, so in 2005 he joined VfR Aalen. In 2007, he left VfR Aalen to join FC Ingolstadt 04.
