Malsain is a dark metal band, originally a soloproject by bassist "Tenebres", which was formed in 2003 in Bergen, Norway.

Bassist in Malsain, going under the name of "Tenebres" started a soloproject in December 2001.
As a result, after recruiting several members, Malsain was officially formed in 2003.
In 2003, vocalist "Sortenke" was replaced with "Skumring", who is said to have one of the harshest female deathvocals in the business.
