[edit] Architecture
Malow Junior High (along with its neighbor Eisenhower High School) both have an irregular shape to their construction although their shapes are unique between the two. Malow is a group of circles which are called pods, which together roughly form a large diamond shape. The center of this large diamond shape is called the 'Commons' which is used for multiple functions along with the school cafeteria. The pods are distinguished amongst themselves simply as A Pod, B Pod, C Pod, and D Pod.
Each pod is separated into different educational disciplines. A Pod is home to the Languages (such as English, Spanish, German, etc.) and World Studies (Such as Social Studies). B Pod is home to the Health and Drafting Classes, and C Pod is home to the Math and Sciences. D-Pod is home to the Gymnasium, band, and choir rooms.

The Library is located in the center of these pods, along with the commons and faculty offices. The library is the only part of the building which has a second story open to the public. The main floor consists of books, and scattered computer stations while the second floor is the main computer lab.
