Malkajgiri is a locality in the city of Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh in India.
Malkajgiri is famous for the Vijaya Vinayaka Temple (in Vaninagar on 4th Street).

As of 2001 India census[1], Malkajgiri had a population of 175,000. Males constitute 51% of the population and females 49%. Malkajgiri has an average literacy rate of 69%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 72%, and female literacy is 65%. In Malkajgiri, 7% of the population is under 6 years of age.

It is well connected to the other areas of Hyderabad and Secunderabad by both bus and rail.It has a big rail way Terminal. In recent years, the area has witnessed a good rise in the land value and several people have made Malkajgiri their home. This area has some good movie theatres - SaiRam, Raghavendra and RamaChandra. It also has a good textile and general purpose shopping areas to cater the local market.

Malkajgiri is well connected with other parts of the city by road as well as rail.The MMTS station called as malkajiri Railway Staion is a major tain station connecting to major IT hub and secunderabad.
The principal intra city bus routes through this area are 16A[ Sec bad to Ecil X Roads], 16C[ Secbad- ECIL X Roads], 16H/10H [ECIL x Roads]] to [[kondapur].
[edit] Anandbagh
Anandbagh is a locality in Malkajgiri, a suburb of Hyderabad. It is a predominantly residential area with many commercial establishments having come up. Anandbagh is located in the North-eastern part of Hyderabad and is a thickly populated area.
The Anandbagh area is divided into two- Anandbagh East and Anandbagh West. The area is one of the fastest developing areas of Hyderabad with the land prices having touched around 15000 per square yard from just around 2000 per sq yd ten years ago. There are a number of commercial establishments being set up here like the recently opened Reliance Fresh outlet in East Anandbagh, stores like Subhiksha, banks, jewellery shops and so on.
The area is well connected to other parts of the city with a number of city buses plying in this route. ( APSRTC Bus Routes from Secunderabad Bus Station : 16A, 16E, 16H,38A to name a few .
A couple of landmarks in and around Anandbagh are the Lord Venkateshwar temple(at Anand Bagh X-Roads) and the Safilguda lake-popularly called as the Mini Tankband beyond which is the Krupa complex.
D.A.V Public School, Safilguda which is considered to be one of the best schools in Hyderabad is situated near this locality.
Chinmaya High School is in the locality with an age old heritage.
