Malini Rajurkar (b. 1941) is a leading Hindustani classical singer.
Malinibai grew up in Rajasthan (western India) where she was initiated into music. She married into a musical family and her husband Vasantrao became her long-time guru. She came in contact with Rajurkar family when Govindrao Rajurkar, Vasantrao's uncle, taught her music for some time.
She belongs to Gwalior Gharana and was much in demand for concert performances during her prime. Now she is slowly winding down her singing career.
She has performed in major music festivals like Gunidas Sammelan (Mumbai), Tansen Samaroh (Gwalior), Sawai Gandharva Festival (Pune), Shankar Lal Festival (Delhi).
She is much admired for her command over a genre named Tappa. She has sung lighter music as well. Her renditions of two natyageets ('pandu-nrupati janak jaya' and 'naravar krishnasamaan') are more famous among common listeners.
