Maldon and East Chelmsford is a parliamentary constituency represented in the House of Commons of the Parliament of the United Kingdom. It elects one Member of Parliament (MP) by the first past the post system of election.

[edit] Boundaries
It includes the whole of the Maldon District Council area and part of the Borough of Chelmsford Council area. Danbury and Great Baddow are villages in the East Chelmsford part of the constituency.

Following their review into parliamentary representation in Essex, the Boundary Commission for England have created a new seat of Witham and a new Maldon. The creation of new constituencies has created major alterations to almost all Essex seats.
