Malbazar

Malbazar (Bengali: মালবাজার) is a sub-divisional town in Jalpaiguri district, located in North Bengal, India. It lies about 65km from Jalpaiguri and 40km from Siliguri.
Malbazar is strategically located in the eastern part of the Dooars region, and is thus close to many places of tourist interest like the Gorumara National Park and Chapramari Wildlife Reserve. One noteworthy place in Malbazar is the Mal Park where an annual flower show is held, visited by people from places far and near.

There are five schools with 10+2 facility -

- Barhho Lems Hindi High School (B.L School)
- Pushpika Girls High School
The education system in the town is little but powerful. Students of these schools play stellar roles in every aspect. Also there is a college called Mal Parimal Mitra Smriti Mahavidyalay.

The local train station, New Mal, is connected by the newly converted broad gauge Siliguri-Alipurduar train line. The train line leads from the forests of North Bengal to the foothills in the country of Bhutan. This train line is also connected to the major cities of India like DELHI, KOLKATA, RACHI and PATNA.
