Malayatoor Ramakrishnan (b. 1927 ; d. 1997) was a writer in Malayalam language. He has written novels, short stories and biographical sketches. Yanthram, Verukal, Yakshi, Service Story were some of his more famous works. Some of his works have been translated to many Indian and Foreign languages. Apart from being a writer, he had also worked as an IAS officer, Magistrate and Lawyer. Before joining IAS, he unsuccessfully contested to Kerala assembly on a Left front ticket.
