[edit] History

Breton was born in Taiwan but traveled the globe as a child, living in Taiwan, Hong Kong, Australia, various parts of the United States and elsewhere. He has been designing since the age of 16, and was inspired by a friend to create his own line, drawing on the influences and experiences of his life.

[edit] Project Runway

Breton previously auditioned for both seasons 1 and seasons 2 of Project Runway. He was offered a spot in the cast for season 2, but turned down the offer. In season three, Breton was eliminated in episode two, a challenge in which contestants formed teams of two to create an evening gown for the current Miss USA to wear in the Miss Universe pageant. Breton, the team leader, was paired with fellow contestant Katherine Gerdes. Judges pointed to what they called an unattractive design and problem with the hem and Breton was eliminated.

[edit] Education and career

Breton began learning fashion design from costume mistresses and has been involved in the entertainment industry from an early age.

In February 2005, Breton was named as one of twelve new designers to watch for on the New York runway by Women's Wear Daily cheat sheet .
