Malakhovka

Malakhovka (Russian: Мала́ховка) is an urban-type settlement in Lyuberetsky District of Moscow Oblast, Russia. Population: 18,552 (2002 Census); 26,454 (1989 Census).
Railway station in 29 km southeast from Moscow.
Minor industry. Two sanatoriums. A history museum. Old dachas.
Malakhovka has a local newspaper Malakhovsky Vestnik (Мала́ховский Ве́стник, "Malakhovka Herald").
The Local Government Board of Malakhovka is headed by Alexander Nikolayevich Avtayev.
