Malakasa (Greek: Μαλακάσα), older form: Malakasas is a Greek town (pop. 745 in 2001) and community (pop. 1,788) of Attica in Greece, it is also a suburb of Athens. Malakasa is linked with the Malakasa-Schimatari Road and has an interchange with GR-1/E75 to the west. Malakasa is also linked with GR-79 (Malakasa - Nea Palatia) and roads to Agios Merkourios and Markopoulo Oropou. The area around Malakasa has farmlands in the valley areas while mountains with grasses and bushes lies to the north, Mount Parnitha lies to the south and are forested. Several residential streets with a few homes lie south of Malakasa. The highest point is the Parnitha mountain which is 1,413 m and lies to the southeast and can also be seen. Malakasa is located north of Athens and GR-1/E75 (Athens - Lamia - Thessaloniki), E of Thiva and east of Avlona.
Businesses are the most popular industry in Malakasa, agriculture dominates the farmlands. Adventure Park is now an attraction of Malakassa and Athens.
The largest town in the community, however, is the town of Milésion (pop. 902). The only other town is Sfendáli (141).

Malakasa has a few schools and few lyceums or middle schools, a few gymnasia or high schools, churches, a train station with the OSE line linking Athens and Thessaloniki, a post office and a few squares (plateies). Its nearest beach is in Nea Palatia northward.
