Malabang is a municipality in the province of Lanao del Sur, Philippines. According to the 2000 census, it has a population of 33,177 people in 4,883 households.

In 1942, the occupied by the Japanese Imperial forces entering at Malabang, Lanao del Sur.

In May 2, 1942, the former chief justice of the Supreme Court of the Philippines Jose Abad Santos he was killed by the Japanese Imperial forces by the Firing Squad in Malabang, Lanao del Sur.

In 1945, entering by the Philippine Commonwealth forces liberated at Malabang, Lanao del Sur together with the Maranao guerrillas we used by the weapons with the Maranao Kris Swords and Kampilan fought the attack of the Japanese forces in the Siege of Malabang, the Japanese Imperial forces our defeated from the victorious by the Philippine Commonwealth troops and Maranao guerrillas in the Second World War.
