[edit] Summary

Description

Tomb of Malik Maqbool - a.k.a. - Gannamaneedu - who hailed from Warangal, but settled in Delhi Durbar - A valiant fighter and Administrator

His tomb is of Octogonal shape - Now nearly ruined, encroached and neglected.

This photograph taken by Mr. Kumar Rao, te:User:Kumarrao who described his efforts as below: "Gannamaneedu's tomb which is totally encroached upon. People made homes inside and outside. It was impossible for me to enter inside. After going around the narrow lane for 2 hours persistently one understanding guy allowed me climb to the roof of his house and take photographs. The tomb is located almost next to Nizamuddin Dargah. You can well imagine the importance of this great man in 14th century when Delhi was in constant turmoil with full of court intrigues of Afghans, Turks and Persians. A proud Telugu warrior and commander who patronized Telugu poets in Warangal transformed himself into a powerful Wazir in Delhi durbar overcoming linguistic, religious and geographical barriers."
