Male polydactyl grey house cat.
His back paws have 5 digits each, 4 normal ones and 1 dew claw. His front paws have between 6 and 7 'digits' and claws each. The left paw has 4 normal digits, as well as 1 clearly opposable 'thumb' digit, which remains underneath the paw and cannot lay in line with the rest of the digits, unlike the 'thumb' of the right paw. Between the opposable thumb and the regular digits was a claw, which was not attached to any clear digit--just a claw in the crevice between two digits. Besides the 4 digits, 1 opposable thumb, and 1 extra hidden-claw, there exists above his thumb a faint, small digit, that can only be noticed through touch. This same trait is more developed on his right paw, where even a segment of extra, jointed bone can be felt and seen; it doesn't appear to have any muscles/tendons controlling it, as it can be easily moved up and down.
One of the (thumb?) claws developed very strangely: it had the appearance of a dark-colored claw of a dog, but had no pink in it. It had curled in on itself like a spiral. Under weak pressure, the entire claw snapped clean off, without any pain. It hasn't grown back since, although the vet may have removed whatever was left.
